Despite an early exit from this year's NBA playoffs, Kevin Durant is still winning. KD recently and today Nike Basketball officially unveils his sixth signature sneaker; the KD VI.
Designed by Leo Chang, the KD VI's inspiration is based on a wristwatch. Unlike the highly popular , which was a mid-cut, the VI is a low-top sneaker that is long on innovation tune to the NBA superstar's playing style.

High-speed lateral footwork is critical to sports such as tennis and soccer and corresponding footwear is designed to support this skill-set. Why not basketball? In analyzing Durant's need for quickness on the court, Chang landed on a low-profile design that is light in weight and tight to the foot.
